Without adult volunteers, Scouting as we know it is nearly impossible. Recognizing the central importance of volunteerism to the successful operation of the Scouting units within its boundaries, the Golden Arrow District has implemented a Unit Service Recognition program for units to publicly acknowledge the noteworthy contributions of their adult volunteers.

Recognizing the central importance of volunteerism to the successful operation of the District, the Golden Arrow District has implemented a District Service Recognition program to allow the District to recognize noteworthy contributions to District Scouting Programs by adult volunteers. This recognition is not related in any way to the prestigious BSA District Award of Merit.
