Religious Emblems

Light of Christ
The purpose of the Light of Christ program is to help Tiger and Wolf Cubs develop a personal relationship with Jesus. With the parents' active assistance and participation in this program, it is hoped that the Cub will come to see Jesus as a real person and his friend.

Parvuli Dei
The purpose of the Parvuli Dei program is to help Bear Cubs and Webelos Scouts explore a wide range of activities in order to discover the presence of God in their daily lives as members of their families and parishes, and also to develop a good, positive self-image through the contributions they can make to the group or community.

Scroll of Honor Certificate The Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting may award the Scroll of Honor Certificate to any adult who has contributed to the spiritual development of Catholic youths through Scouting. Adults do not earn the Scroll of Honor Certificate per se; they are recommended by application to a diocesan board of review by another person.

Bronze Pelican
The Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting may award the Bronze Pelican emblem to adult Scouters who have contributed to the spiritual development of Catholic youths through Scouting for an extended period of time. Scouters do not earn the Bronze Pelican emblem per se; they are recommended by application to a diocesan board of review by another person.

St. George
The National Catholic Committee on Scouting, acting through the local diocese, may award the St. George emblem to adult Scouters who have made significant and outstanding contributions to the spiritual development of Catholic youths through Scouting. Scouters do not earn the St. George emblem per se; they are recommended by application to a diocesan board of review by another person.
